HOPE JOURNEYS

Hope Journeys

Creating space to encounter God— here, there, and beyond

Hope Journeys are 7–10 day global pilgrimages that create space to encounter God through place, people, and shared mission.

Rather than arriving with predetermined themes or outcomes, participants journey with openness—trusting that meaning emerges through lived experience, cultural engagement, intentional reflection, and community life.

Place, Pace, and Perspective

Hope Journeys are rooted in the belief that a change of place and pace can open us to a deeper awareness of God’s presence. As we step into a new cultural context together, space is created for fresh perspective, honest reflection, and renewed attentiveness to God at work within and around us.

What flows from this kind of encounter is not something we manufacture—but something we receive. Hope that multiplies.

What is a Hope Journey?

A Journey to a Sacred Space.

It’s about both the geographical destination and the inner transformation that happens along the way.

Historically, pilgrimages have played a significant role in the lives of spiritual seekers throughout history. A Hope Journey, similar to a pilgrimage, is a search for meaning, purpose, values, or truth - as well as a metaphor for the arc of one’s life.

Why go?

We go to feel the presence of a place and God’s presence in that place.

When we step out of our comfort zones and normal routines, we are open to hearing from God in fresh ways.

Who is it for?

Hope Journeys are for believers that long to know more of God’s presence with them.

It’s for those who are open to a unique global experience that will take them out of their normal rhythms to reignite and deepen their faith.

They may come to the table tired, weary, a little dry and possibly burnt-out. They need respite for their soul, a fresh perspective, and a reignited hope to continue life with passion and purpose.

What have people said about Hope Journeys?

“It’s an introspective adventure with God.”

I loved this new way of seeing God's beauty, not as a tourist, but from a reflective perspective - an ever-present awareness of God - that being on this Journey showed me.

~ Charles (Texas, USA), South Africa Pilgrim

A Hope Journey is something that everybody should do because you're intentional with your time. I went because I wanted a closer relationship with God than what I currently had. A trip like this will strengthen and stretch your relationship with God no matter if it's strong, weak or indifferent. It will expand beyond your wildest imagination. Go!

~ Kathy (Texas, USA), South Africa Pilgrim

“It will expand you beyond your wildest imagination.”

If you want a journey where you purposely put God and your spiritual growth as the goal, a Hope Journey is exactly what you should do! It's an awakening for your soul that will forever change you. I recommend it to anyone who might feel lost in their faith, wanting to grow and build a stronger connection with God. This Journey is for those that God tells to go.

~ Reagan (Oregon, USA), South Africa Pilgrim

“It’s an awakening of the soul.”
